Physicians and Dentists & Allied Healthcare professionals: Members must be Syrians of Syrian descent and healthcare professionals in the United States or Canada. This includes board-certified or eligible physicians, dentists, pharmacists, medical scientists, other allied health professionals, and retired members in these fields.

Affiliate Members: This category is tailored for medical professionals who might not be American or Syrian.

In-Training Members: This category is tailored to Syrians of Syrian descent medical residents and healthcare students.

Friends of SAMS: This category is tailored to any individual supporting SAMS while not being a healthcare provider.
